The Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) is responsible for the health and safety of 2.8 million Chicagoans. Purple Binder worked with the maternal-child health division at CDPH to build a site called Healthy Chicago Babies, offering detailed information on resources that address healthcare as well as the social determinants of health for moms and their children.
Putting resources at the fingertips of Chicago families
Healthy Chicago Babies has been promoted through an advertising campaign with placements on public transit and street-level advertisements. The site, maintained by Purple Binder, is accessible from any device with a web browser. Chicagoans have information at their fingertips about all the resources available for maternal-child health.
Bridging the gap between healthcare and social services
The resources covered by Healthy Chicago Babies range from healthcare services like obstetrics, sexual health, and pediatrics to community services like legal assistance, violence prevention, and housing.
